Professional Rodeo is returning to Taylorsville, NC.

Happy Trails Cowboy Church and H & H Indoor Arena will host the 5th Annual Professional Rodeo.  The rodeo is sanctioned by the Southern Rodeo Association (SRA) and International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA). Events include Bareback Bronc riding, Saddleback Bronc riding, Calf roping, Cowgirl's break-away calf roping, Steer wrestling, Team roping, Cowgirl's barrel racing, and Bull riding. Contestants from all over the eastern seaboard will be competing for points as they chase the coveted championships. 

Two great performances will be held on Friday & Saturday, May 16th & 17th. Gates open at 5pm. Country Gospel singing will be provided both nights beginning at 7pm (one hour prior to the rodeo action) featuring Jeff Godwin of Mt. Pleasant, NC (www.jeffgodwin.net<http://www.jeffgodwin.net/> ). The rodeo will begin at 8pm.  Concessions will be provided by the congregation of Happy Trails Cowboy Church.

The rodeo is sponsored by Happy Trails Cowboy Church, H & H Arena, Cooper Southern Properties, Fox Surveying, Linney's Grove Baptist Church, Jeff Barnes Grading, Farm Bureau of Alexander County, Taylorsville Ford, Triple Play Café, South Atlantic Brokerage, and James River Equipment and many other businesses and organizations across the Catawba Valley area.

The H & H Indoor Arena is conveniently located on Ned Herman Road, just off Hwy. 64/90, 3 ½  miles west of Taylorsville, NC. This arena is centrally
located in the beautiful foothills of the Brushy Mountains of rural Alexander County and is convenient to Hickory (NC-16 and NC-127), Lenoir (NC-64/90), Statesville (NC-64), and Wilkesboro (NC-16).

The rodeo is being promoted by F Bar K Rodeo of Charlotte, NC. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Happy Trails Cowboy Church. Admission is $15 at the gate, children under 6 admitted free. Advance tickets are $10 and are available at Alexander Chamber of Commerce, Taylorsville Savings Bank
(Taylorsville, Hiddenite & Bethlehem branches), Peoples Bank (Hiddenite
branch), Triple Play Cafe, and Village Inn Pizza (Taylorsville).
